For Nina

I finally finished my portrait of Nina which started out as a bad left handed drawing on a zoom call with the butohBuddies group in 2020. Then I took the drawing and stitched it on repurposed fabric. Then I procrastinated let it incubate for a little longer so I can figure out how to finish it. Instead of finishing it, I decided to stitch over it even more because the procrastination is my strength. This time with white thread. I still didn’t know how to finish it, but then thank baby Jesus because Nina gave me beautiful kente hand woven fabric and I used it to create the frame. Anyway, 3 years later it is finally done. I know it seems like a long time, but when you consider how many unfinished works I have, this is a miracle. It finally lives with Nina.
